HERVE WAHLEN

1957 Born in Oran, Algeria

1977 Baccalaureate in Literature

1980 Apprenticeships in engraving and dinanderie (art of hammering metal). Begins a period of research and work in painting, colored cement, wood sculpting, and brass forging. Works on silver pieces for the house of Cheret, in Paris.

1994 Wahlen works on furniture prototypes and assists in the fabrication of large- scale metal sculptures for international commissions.
